Keosha Bond headshotDr. Keosha T. Bond, EdD, MPH, CHES®

Dr. Keosha T. Bond is an Assistant Medical Professor in the Department of Community Health and Social Medicine at the CUNY School of Medicine and the Director of the LOVE Project Lab. She is a trained behavioral scientist and sexual health educator who has centered her work on the complex intersections of race, sexuality, social justice, and health equity among individuals of marginalized genders. Dr. Bond’s primary research interests have focused on understanding how socio-structural and cultural factors influence the transmission of HIV to develop, assess, and scale transformative, culturally appropriate digital technology interventions that empower people to change the status quo and achieve positive health outcomes. Dr. Bond ‘s work has concentrated on developing innovative eHealth interventions that interrogate the complexities of identity formation, systems of value, and the shared vernacular in and around Black visual culture to address sexual health. Her most recent projects include conducting formative research using mobile ethnography to develop sexual health interventions for transgender youth and women. Dr. Bond is also the Co-PI of a multilevel, multicomponent, National Institute of Mental Health-funded study focused on supplementing traditional HIV prevention peer navigation with a user-curated, pleasure-focused “do it yourself” sexual health self-care in-a-box and a community-level, anti-intersectional stigma, multi-media ad campaign for Black gay, bisexual, and same-gender loving men to increase HIV testing and PEP/PrEP uptake. She is currently pursuing her Master of Public Health degree at Montclair State University. There, she has worked as a Health Promotion Graduate Coordinator creating and facilitating various programming in sexual health and sexuality education.

Dr. Karen Rayne is the Executive Director of UN|HUSHED, an organization dedicated to creating and implementing the highest quality sexuality education curricula possible. She is also an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Educational Psychology Department at the University of Texas. She sits on the World Association of Sexual Health’s Sexuality Committee, is the author of books like GIRL: Love, Sex, Romance, and Being You, TRANS+: Love, Sex, Romance, and Being You, and Breaking the Hush Factor: Ten rules for talking with teenagers about sex as well as a wide range of curricula and other professional resources. She is frequently sought after to share her expertise through training professionals, consulting with schools, writing articles, radio and print interviews, and speaking with parents. Dr. Rayne lives in the hill country outside Austin, Texas with her wife, three children, and her standard poodle.
